American Dream TV Episode Number 2 is here in its entirety. It was a lot of fun to learn about the history of San Antonio as a military post that even pre-dates Fort Sam Houston and truly makes San Antonio Military City USA.
A visit to the Historic Quadrangle, where soldiers kept watch on the frontier town of San Antonio and held the famous native warrior Geronimo captive in the late 1800's, is both scenic and informative. Special thanks to Jacqueline Davis for her interesting talk.
A walk across the street to Government Hill Historic District, and discussion with Folklores Coffee Company owner and community organizer Tatu Herrera gives us some background about the close economic ties to the neighborhood around Fort Sam Houston.
We end at Breakaway Brewing Company newly opened brewery and gastro-pub where we speak to owner Chris Pal-Freeman as he talks about his brewing process. This neighborhood is on the rise - I'm excited to see it grow.
