North San Antonio & Highway 281 Corridor

Welcome to North San Antonio & Highway 281 Corridor

Some of San Antonio’s most popular neighborhoods and most amazing real estate opportunities lie along the HWY281 Corridor north of 1604 all the way to Canyon Lake. With Phase 2 of the HWY 281 improvement project set to be completed by end of summer 2023, the freeway all the way to the Comal County line will make this booming area even more accessible to San Antonio. The towns of Spring Branch and Bulverde seem to find a perfect balance between Old Texas, Hill Country Chic, and Suburban Living. A commute to these towns is a daily Texas Staycation.

Master Planned communities with a variety of options that range from starter homes to lock and leave to luxury estates include Meyer Ranch, Johnson Ranch, Kinder Ranch, Willis Ranch, Timberwood Park, and beautiful communities along the TPC Expressway near the TPC San Antonio Golf Resort-like Amorosa and Campanas. The highly popular Stone Oak area of San Antonio lies along this corridor also, with a variety of gated and ungated communities to fit every budget and lifestyle. On the East side of HWY 281 surprisingly close to the city, you’ll find acreage communities perfect for horse lovers like Country Place and Clear Springs Parks. Even closer to 1604 along Evans Road east of HWY 281 great homes can be found in the booming newer communities of Wortham Oaks, Winding Oaks, Langdon Place, and more. Older, more established communities nearby have mature trees and landscaping and great amenities like Encino Park and Redland Heights.

Tired of your neighborhood’s amenities and looking for adventure? Take a trip to Guadalupe River State Park, the Honey Creek State Natural Area or pack up the family for a day at one of Canyon Lake’s public beaches. Start a day on the hill country wine trail at Lara Vineyard or In Contrada Vineyard and Kitchen or Oak Valley Vineyard and Restaurant – or sample the stronger stuff at the popular and fun Rebecca Creek Distillery. Great shopping can be found at the Northwoods Shopping Center where HWY281 and HWY1604 meet as well as all along HWY281. And don’t forget to mark your calendar for the annual Bulverde Jubilee and Freedom Fest in September or the Oktoberfest Celebration at Anhalt Dance Hall active since 1877!
